The main on-air studio for Dine' Adventist Radio is at the Gallup All Nations Seventh-day Adventist Church, in the Texico Conference. They have generously given DAR 2 rooms (studio and office) as well as purchased all the studio equipment.
At the end of June, a Volunteer Radio Engineer, Carroll Baker and his wife came to Gallup, NM from Savannah, GA to build out the studio. All the equipment arrived at the beginning of June and was stacked in boxes in the room that was going to be the studio. When Carroll arrived, he unpacked everything and then put in several long days to get the studio built.
In July the Network Manager came on staff and has been able to do a lot to get the studio just about ready to go on the air.
One day, Kenneth Lane, the Gallup Head Elder came in and helped to dig a hole to put the post in for the satellite dish.
Pastor Tobin Savage has some excellent knowledge of wood working and built the studio desk and helped to cut holes in it for some equipment and mount the microphone arms.
Just this week the dedicated internet service was installed and the cable from the satellite dish was buried in a conduit in a 30 foot trench and run to the studio.
All we lack now of getting the studio completed is 7 cables being made and shipped and a day with the local radio engineer to put the finishing touches on the studio.
Praise the Lord for all the help and expertise!
